How Does A Superstition Form?

LET'S START THE STORY!
Once upon a time, some scientists together experimented. They took a big cage and kept 5 monkeys in it and put a ladder on it. Then, they put some bananas on the top of that ladder. Then, what the scientists did, that whenever a monkey from that group climb that ladder wipes up to Bananas they start sprinkling water on those monkeys. And at the moment when the waterfalls on the monkey who was climbing the ladder, it immediately climbs down the ladder and the water stops falling.
Like this, every monkey in that cage tries to get the bananas and the water kept falling by their action. By this, the monkeys figured out that whenever anyone climbs the ladder cold waterfalls. After that, whenever any monkey even tries to climb the ladder, the other monkeys start hitting it and make it fall.
After it, what the scientists did, they replace one monkey with a new monkey. So, now 4 monkeys knew why not to climb the ladder but 1 do not. As the new monkey saw the bananas at the top of the ladder it started climbing it. This time the scientists did not throw any water on the monkeys but then also the other monkeys started hitting the new monkey. The new monkey did not understand and again started climbing the ladder, and the other monkeys did the same and started hitting the new monkey.
Now, by the behavior of the other monkeys, the new monkey figured out that is not allowed to climb the ladder. The new monkey did not know why but it accepted it.
Now, again the scientists replaced a new monkey with one of the old 4 monkeys and the same happened with it which was happened earlier new monkey. Like this, all the monkeys were replaced by the new one and nobody knew that why it is not allowed to climb the ladder and now the scientists were also not throwing water on them. If they want, they could easily climb the ladder, share the bananas and eat them. But because of the belief that it is not allowed to climb the ladder, they could not do so.
This is how a REALITY CONVERTS INTO BELIEF! 1000s of years ago, a custom was made because of some reasons. But after ending that reason also, people used to follow the customs blindly without asking any question. Like : Why do we stop if a cat crosses our way? , Why do we hang lemon and chilies at doors and vehicles?
